Animal Boxes by Becca Floyd
Becca Floyd is a potter from Mars Hill, NC who is known for her beautifully decorated surfaces and rich glazes.  We just received new work from her including these five small animal boxes.  Each is about three inches high and each features a goat or rabbit animal figure.  They are $35 each.

We just received these three really beautiful collaborative vases by Jason Burnett and Jerilyn Virden.  Jerilyn is an accomplished sculptor from the Penland, NC area and Jason is currently a core student at the Penland School of Crafts where he has already established himself as one of the finest young potters in Western North Carolina.  These pieces would be great additions for anyone who collects the work of either of these talented artists.  The vases are $85 each and only three of these collaborative pieces were made.

NC Governor Bev Perdue visits Crimson Laurel Gallery
We recently had a visit by North Carolina Governor Bev Perdue.  Governor Perdue had a great time shopping in the gallery and we where honored that she chose to visit us in Bakersville, NC and see the work of over 150 artists that we currently represent.  Governor Perdue appreciates the large economic impact that the art and craft community has in Western North Carolina.  Annually, Western North Carolina receives more than $200 million in economic benefit from the art and craft community.

I recently had the opportunity to visit Tom Turner at his home in Mars Hill, NC.  Tom is a master porcelain potter and I had a wonderful time admiring his recent pieces as well as his fantastic collection of pottery from American potters and from around the world.  Tom's pots are some of the finest that we have ever shown at Crimson Laurel Gallery and you will not want to miss them on your next visit.

Eric Haagensen is in the Gallery!
We just received a great selection of colorful and whimsical new pieces by Eric Haagesen.  Eric  loves to decorate his pieces with creatures from his vivid imagination then he adds a story to go along with each image.  Some of his pieces even have a distinctive local flavor.  If your taste in pottery leans toward the unusual you will definitely want to take a look at Eric's work.
