What is the relationship between the interior and exterior nature of form, and how does one's feeling for a form vary depending on whether one is aware of its interior as volume, or its exterior as object? My current work investigates these questions. In my jewelry I use wire as line, defining a variety of geometric forms. These objects enclose space, but leave it transparent, so that the interior and exterior concepts can be sensed simultaneously. The wire implies form, leaving its completion to the imagination.
