Artists Denise Goyer and Alain Bonneau have been working as a team since 1975. This pair of ceramic artists is dedicated to creating unique pieces and always putting their artistic vision first. "Our primary goal is to create," Bonneau says. "To be able to create we must sell." Their combined efforts produce contemporary works with a focus on form and function.
These two artists first met in Goyer's garage, where she ran a workshop and taught ceramics to a small group of students. Bonneau was one of these students. He became an apprentice to Goyer and decided to quit his job as a graphic designer to create ceramic pieces full time. Their work was at first sold in Quebec and parts of Canada, but later became part of the international market. "We see this as more of a dream," Bonneau says. "Although there are businesspeople who are very much dreamers themselves. In the end, you have to be a dreamer to succeed in such fields."
