5pm-Presentation by Internationally recognized ceramic sculptor, Peter Callas, with opening remarks by Andrew Glasgow, retired executive director of the American Craft Council at the Historic Mitchell County Courthouse in downtown Bakersville, NC.
6pm-Open Reception (Please RSVP by June 30th for the presentation.)
This wood fired functional ceramics exhibition will feature numerous national and international selected artists and will be curated by Eric Knoche.
"My goal for this exhibition is to present a group of artists from across the spectrum of wood fired sculptural ceramics and from around the world who have never shown at Crimson Laurel Gallery before. As curator, I am particularly interested in how various artists have adapted the wood fire patina to their own sculptural work." - Eric Knoche - Artist/Curator
The show will open on June 30th and will end on August 31st.
