Nanci Mansfield
Nanci spent the happiest years of her childhood in the north Georgia mountains living in simple housing, roaming the woods. She was a great explorer and fell in love with the flowers, rocks, streams, old barns, and even chicken coops. She looks around now and sees the last remnants of that lifestyle being destroyed to make room for new construction and she mourns. She still loves to explore the woods and countryside, to record her finds with her camera and pen. She finds old homesteads, long abandoned, where there is usually some small sign that once this place was loved. This, to her, is inspiration. Nanci lives in Celo, North Carolina.
