Kyle Carpenter's pots are salt-fired and are made for the hand and home. His inspiration comes from simplistic forms in nature. His pottery is focused on utility. It is directly related to his love of cooking and presentation. Although Kyle relies on and respects that of traditional techniques, he often experiments with form in a non-traditional manner. This keeps the process evolving and fresh. Kyle has always appreciated atmospheric kilns. The subtle variation that comes from the firing offers unpredictable movement within the forms. Each pot is always different from the one next to it. Kyle enjoys the fact that he can bring something handmade into a person's life.
